HON. PROSPERO A. PICHAY, JR.
President
Basketball Association of the Philippines
Unit 214, Cityland Tower 1
Pablo Ocampo St., Malate
Manila

Dear Cong. Pichay,

Warmest greetings from NOPSSCEA!

We are pleased to inform you that the 28th season of Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports Cultural Educational Association (NOPSSCEA) will officially open on Sunday, September 21, 2008, 3:00 P.M. at University of St. La Salle Coliseum, La Salle Avenue, Bacolod City after a 40 minute motorcade around the City of Bacolod.

The NOPSSCEA was organized in 1980 with the merger of the Negros Occidental Private Schools Athletic Association (NOPRISAA).  NOPSSCEA’s vision is unity and growth among member schools toward excellence and leadership in education, culture and sports.  While its mission is to establish and strengthen linkages among member schools through networking and resource sharing in the implementation of NOPSSCEA programs and services and provide continuous programs for the development of the NOPSSCEA community.  To date, NOPSSCEA has 57 member schools (Pre-School, Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Level) all over Negros Occidental.

Today, NOPSSCEA’s contribution to Negros Occidental and Western Visayas sports could not be taken for granted because for many years NOPSSCEA has contributed about 30-40% of the Negros Occidental delegation to the Palarong Pambansa and National PRISAA Games.  NOPSSCEA is the only in-school sports organization in the Philippines with a complete grass root development program in its activities.  Starting from 10 years old & Under and 13 years old & Under (for Elementary), 15 years old & Under (Aspirants) and 18 years old & Under (for High School) and the College Level.

NOPSSCEA likewise produced and contributed many athletes that donned the National uniform in International Sports Competitions in Volleyball, Basketball, Football, Track & Field, Golf Swimming, Table Tennis, Archery and Chess.

Cognizant therefore of your active involvement as President of BAP and Chess Federation of the Philippines and as a sports patron, may we invite you to be the NOPSSCEA’s GUEST SPEAKER on the said Opening Ceremonies on September 21, 2008, 3:00 P.M. at the University of St. La Salle Coliseum, Bacolod City?

Thank you very much for your favorable response to this invitation and God bless.

Very truly yours,

ROGER A. BANZUELA
Chairman, Sports Task Force
NOPSSCEA 2008-2010 and
Regional Director
BAP Region 6
